CEO, Gearbit Inc.

In 2006 Ray founded Gearbit, Austin TX. Ray has over 35 years’ experience as a Senior Network Specialist. In 1980 Ray joined JP Morgan Chase Bank, where he managed the southern division of Network Engineering and was credited for establishing the corporate communication protocol for business applications and progression issues. He has managed global mission-critical enterprise networks for companies including, Lyondell Refining LP, Lucent and HP-Compaq. He retains duties as a network analyst at Gearbit and is known for his knowledge in guiding customers to root cause solutions for the most critical network/application problems.

Bill Gunn
Chief Operations Officer

Bill brings with him the successful oversight of two IT companies over the past 27 years. Throughout his career he has managed global and domestic operations on an international scale. His background in software design and development is one of the reasons for his success.

As COO, Bill’s experience in creating and implementing innovative solutions for critical operations helps to assure and maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction here at Gearbit.

Vice President of Business Development, Gearbit Inc.

Joe is a 20+ year veteran of Austin based technology companies. With a successful history as a “Business-Oriented Engineer”. He facilitated growth and acquisition of multiple Austin startups including NetQoS/CSC, Anue/Ixia and ServiceMesh/CA. He has extensive experience with core networking and emerging technologies. He specializes in technology focused business partnerships and integration.

Joe makes Austin his home and has a diverse list of hobbies including IoT, Kayaking, 3D Printing, Hiking, HAM radio and Open-source software!

Lead Security Analyst

Eric Seagren is Lead Security Analyst at Gearbit. He joined the company in March 2010.

Eric has twenty years of experience in the computer industry, with eight years spent in the financial services industry working for a fortune 10 company.

While working in the financial services industry he led a global network security program, implementing the first firewalls, network security monitoring and security policies. His areas of expertise include network vulnerability assessment and risk management responsibilities. He has served the majority of his career as a security engineer and IT risk analyst. Eric is familiar with a wide range of technologies including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, routers and switches, and log aggregation systems

Chief Technology Officer

Jay Crisman has extensive experience in oil and gas, embedded systems, systems programming, and web and Internet related technologies. Jay has worked with many teams developing hardware and software products including SCATA pipeline control systems, web applications and network analysis tools. He was the author of several patents.

Jay holds a degree in computer science engineering from University of Texas Arlington
